Community Hope empowers people
Our vision
Community Hope is a community of people who help one another succeed; where businesses, schools, churches and individuals join hands in making Missaukee County a place to thrive.
Our mission
Our mission is to support the people of Missaukee County by providing food and emergency relief as well as by training mentors for children, youth and adults who show the potential and desire to become self-sustaining and fruitful people in the community. Community Hope accomplishes its mission by communicating needs with its partnering business, church, and other non-profit organizations, by training and leading volunteers using time-tested mentoring models, and by partnering with multiple organizations to provide food to families in Missaukee County through area food pantries and Back Packs for Kids.
We are a non-profit organization with a Board of Directors who have a heart for the lives of children, youth, and adults. We want people to succeed.
What We Do
Mentoring for Children and Youth
Community Hope trains and provides resources for volunteers who meet with the same Lake City School student for one hour per week throughout the school year.

Back Packs For Kids
We are home to the Back Pack for Kids program which packs and distributes weekly food packs to kids in Lake City Schools. Area businesses, churches and individuals donate time and funding to help make sure children have enough to eat.

Food Programs
For some individuals and families in our communities, food insecurity is a daily struggle. Community Hope recognizes this struggle and partners with Rehoboth Reformed Church and Prosper Christian Reformed Church by providing funding for their food distribution sites.
